Arusha National Park covers Mount Meru, a prominent volcano with an elevation of 4566 m, in the Arusha Region of north eastern Tanzania. The park is small but endowed with spectacular landscapes in three distinct areas, it covers a total land area of 552km² and it’s also another park which is found in the northern Tanzania. It’s approximately a 60km drive from Kilimanjaro International airport.
Arusha National Park considered to have got a limited number of wildlife compared to the other national parks of Tanzania. In this park, out of the Big considered five, only the buffaloes dominate the park while the lions plus rhinos are nowhere to be seen in the park. The park has got its natural unique feature which lies in the scenic beauty and unusual animals. With issues concerning about the Black and white Colobus monkeys, Arusha national park is superb.
Some of the other animals found within the park includes, zebras and warthogs plus giraffes which are seen moving in herds from the bush racing their spindly legs. In the alpine desert is where the everlasting flowers are found, while the skilfully hoofed klipspringers are seen progressing with their hike. At the rocky summit, Mount Kilimanjaro stands clearly and it’s visible to the visitors during sunrise.
