Enjoy luxury safari in Uganda offering you a range of activities including gorilla trekking. For this luxury Uganda safari, you get an unforgettable journey as you search for the Big 5 as well as trekking in the jungle for both mountain gorillas and chimps.

Uganda is unique in the way that you can see both the Big 5 and Mountain Gorillas here. Four of the Big 5 roam freely in National Parks in Uganda, this is the lion, leopard, buffalo and elephant that you will have chance to see in Murchison Falls NP and Queen Elizabeth NP. The rhino being the fifth of the big five is found in Ziwa Rhino which can be seen on your en-route to Murchison national park.

Although you would prefer to take domestic flights to these places, it is a more interesting and unforgettable when you use a 4×4 vehicle to traverse from central, north-west to western as you witness the surrounding landscapes as well as the green vegetation in the country.

On arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be received and welcomed by our driver/guides who will transfer you to Speke Resort Munyonyo and after then take you through your safari program.

Early morning, you will be transferred to Murchison Falls NP. Along the way you meet the rhinos in Ziwa rhino sanctuary one of the Big 5. In the sanctuary you are able to see the reintroduced rhinos in Uganda and you go with a specialized guide for a walk to see them. Then you continue the journey towards the Nile Safari Lodge in Murchison Falls national park, having lunch along the way. Dinner at your lodge.

Set off for an early morning game-drive in the park. You have the chance of seeing big cats hunting, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, plus more as the checklist of mammals reaches 76. You continue browsing the Drive circuits to the Delta point for a cocktail of Birds and mammals. Enjoy lunch and some relaxation at the lodge after the game-drive. In the afternoon, go for the boat ride to the base of the falls where you get to see the Hippos, Nile Crocodiles, Elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks.

When reaching the falls, you jump off the boat and go with a guide to the top of the falls. It is a beautiful hike that takes you to see the falls close up as an explosive dash of water at close range gushes through a narrow space before the Nile continues its journey towards the Mediterranean. Drive back to Nile Safari Lodge for overnight.

Early in the morning, transfer towards the Kibale Forest. It’s a long drive with a target to have lunch in Fort portal. Different stopovers are expected like the Rift valley escarpment on Lake Albert – typical African village setup in the far countryside and tea plantations along the drive will offer you chances of stretching. check in papaya lake lodge late afternoon which has an amazing display of primates and lovely scenery. Lunch, rest as well as dinner and overnight.

Drive to the park headquarters in the morning for briefing and then chimpanzee trekking, the first great ape you will meet during this Uganda safari. Kibale Forest national park is a rainy forest and a home to over 1500 Chimpanzees.

You have the chance to see the chimps close up and capture shots of these closet cousins in the jungle in their exciting moods as they are grooming, building relationships, bringing up young ones, think and sharing food, plus rare bird species following them. You have the chance to see the different species of Monkeys found in this forest; red colobus, red tailed monkey and bush babies on a great day. After the trek you are met by your guide and drive back to the lodge for a relaxed afternoon, lunch, dinner and overnight.

After a relaxed breakfast, start the journey southwards through the beautiful crater lakes region arriving in Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon and you go for the Classic highlight of the 2hrs boat-cruise on the famous Kazinga channel after lunch, a 36kms channel linking Lake George to lake Edward.

On the banks you can see land and water Adapted Hippos yearning, Nile Crocodile gaping along the Banks and Savannah versions of Pigs the Warthogs roaming everywhere.  Kyambura Gorge Lodge will sort you for dinner and overnight.

After an early morning breakfast, set off for the journey towards Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth NP. This is an adventurous journey as the road goes through the park and if you are luck, you see elephants, monkeys, beautiful birds or even lions along the way.

After lunch at the lodge and some relaxation head out for an afternoon game-drive in Ishasha, known for its tree-climbing lions. You have the chance to see Topis, buffaloes, elephants and hopefully find the lions high in the Fig tree branches. This is one of two areas in Africa where lions have the habit of regularly climbing trees to take a rest. Ishasha Wilderness Camp will sort you for dinner and overnight.

You have the opportunity in Ishasha for a second game-drive in the morning for a last chance to spot the tree-climbing lions and other interesting sights. After the game-drive we have lunch at the lodge and start the journey towards Bwindi Impenetrable national park. It is a beautiful drive taking you from the savanna via cultivated hills to the jungle covered mountains of Bwindi. Check in to the luxurious lodge and enjoy a relaxed evening. Here sanctuary gorilla forest camp will be perfect for that luxury feel since the only luxury camp within the park.

It’s a trekking day, early in the morning beginning with the briefing at the park headquarters. You will be taken in a group by a specialized guide into the jungle for your gorilla trekking adventure. Trek through the beautiful nature and spend one hour with the gorillas, an unforgettable experience. This Impenetrable Forest is also full of birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants, sitatunga and dikers. After the trek your guide picks you and takes you back to the lodge after picking your trekking certificate from the headquarters. Enjoy your lunch, rest, dinner and overnight.

You can take your way to lake Bunyonyi for relaxation. Enjoy your lunch here are you take in the lake views as well as the surrounding islands which have history to the western culture. Take time and visit the punishment island where the Banyankole used to take those girls who would get pregnant before marriage as sign of miss behaving and many more. After some days at Bunyonyi, you can now transfer to Entebbe for you flight back home.
