Your adventure begins with a trek up and down Mount Kilimanjaro via Machame route, the most challenging and scenic way to the highest peak in Africa. After the Kilimanjaro trek, you will relax, visit Arusha National Park and enjoy a fascinating community walk.
You will later take a migration safari to one of the most beautiful national parks in Tanzania known as Tarangire National Park before moving to an iconic Serengeti National Park and finally end your safari at Ngorongoro crater known as a natural wonder that others refer to as a natural zoo due to its large number of animals such as cheetahs, leopards, lions, hyenas among others. Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our company representative will meet you and transfer you to your booked comfortable hotel in Arusha. You will spend the remaining hours at relaxation at the lodge and in the evening, you will have a briefing about your trekking experience to be done the next day.

On the 2nd day, you will start your long trek to the top of Africa’s highest mountain. After a delicious breakfast, you will be driven to Machame gate to get your climbing permit and register with the search and rescue service. Permits for trekking Kilimanjaro costs USD60 per person per day. You will be fully briefed, meet your dedicated crew that consists of guides, cooks, porters at reasonable cost and have all the necessary health checks done.
Your health will be monitored every step of the way to ensure you are acclimatizing correctly to the thinning air. Your porters will carry everything required to set up a comfortable camp including all you carry in your day pack.
The trek will take you through the gorgeous and fascinating rain forest zone of Kilimanjaro to your camp. The camps around Kilimanjaro include; Machame, Shira, Barranco, Karanga Valley, Barafu and Millennium camp. While at the camp, you may be able to encounter some colobus monkeys and the exotic birds.
The 3rd day after having breakfast, you will continue with your trek to Shira camp. You emerge from the Afro-montane Forest and make your way to the heather zone keeping an eye out for massive lobelia plants en-route.
The Shira plateau is an attractive place with beautiful geographical features like glacial valleys and lava tubes. Hiking is not all that hard or difficult though you may feel altitude changes and therefore, you are encouraged to pay attention to your body and keep in mind that choosing the right pace is so crucial for successful hiking. Once you reach the Shira camp, have lunch and relax a bit. After lunch, go on an acclimatization hike towards Lava tower camp. After descend back to Shira camp for dinner and sleepovers.
On the 4th day after having breakfast, you will climb through the barren alpine desert and head to the Lava tower camp and then descend to Barranco camp. Although it is a long day of trekking, you will enjoy the advantages of hiking high and sleeping low throughout the following days. Barranco is famous for its groundsel plants. While on the trek, you will see the famous Barranco Glacial wall impressive in both its massive size and steepness.
The 5th day, you will start it with climbing the Barranco Glacial wall but its better to depart the camp as early as possible to avoid crowds of the other groups. Hike the gorge wall and it will take about an hour. After the climb, you can relax and take photos in front of the Kibo Volcano. After photography, start a hike to Karanga camp which features a numerous ascents and descents over the way. Upon reaching the camp, enjoy your lunch and descend back to Barafu camp for dinner and sleepovers.
The 6th day, you will have a short hike to Uhuru peak where you will have a chance of taking some photos for memories. After taking photos at the peak, you descend to Barafu camp and after some hours of resting, you will proceed to Millennium camp for dinner and overnight stay.
The 7th day, you will have to leave Millennium camp and head to Mweka gate. You will enjoy the lower altitude and the view of the forested slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Upon reaching the Mweka gate, you will parade at the Stella point to receive your trekking certificate upon reaching the Uhuru peak. After meet your driver to transfer you back to Arusha city for dinner and overnight stay.

The 8th day, you can spend it having a city tour in Arusha. You can begin the day by exploring the city’s lively fruit and vegetable markets showcasing a wide variety of products. You will visit the iconic clock tower a landmark symbolizing the connection between cape town and Cairo.
You can also choose to explore the fascinating archaeological artifacts at the Boma German Museum or browse the local art scene and cultural souvenir market. Take a peek into daily lives of the locals by exploring the busy bus station of Arusha or see where the Maasai unique clothing style is at the clothing market.
You can make a stopover at one of the cozy cafes in town and try their traditional drinks such as tangawizi, Konyangi among others. Later return to your accommodation for dinner and sleepovers.
On 9th day, have breakfast and then head to Arusha National Game Park for a morning game drive. On the game drive, you will explore the park’s landmarks such as Momella lakes and Ngurdoto crater. The park is a home to a large population of giraffes. Other animals that you may spot while on a game drive include; zebras, buffaloes, elephants, flamingos, hippos, primates and other animals.
Return to the lodge for lunch and later go on a community walk where you will explore the colorful local markets to get a feel for local life in Africa. If you still have time, you can go on a cycling tour in the villages of Arusha outskirts. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
This 10th day will be for transferring from Arusha to Tarangire National Game Park for a game drive. You will have breakfast, check-out at the lodge and then meet your driver to embark on your journey. This scenic journey will take about 2 hours and upon arrival, you check-in at the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
After lunch, go for an afternoon game drive. Tarangire National Game Park offers a serene and intimate wildlife viewing experience due to its low volume of visitors. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African bamboo trees with huge swamp areas in the south. The river and swamps act as the magnet for animals such as zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, hartebeests, water bucks, hyenas, warthogs, elands and many others during the Tanzania’s dry season.

The 11th day will be for a transfer to Serengeti national Game Park via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu, Maasai villages and the Ngorongoro conservation area. Leaving highlands behind, descend into the heart of wild Africa with its endless plains rolling into distance as far as the eye can see. It is in this park where you can experience the wildebeest migration.
During the game drive, you will also be able to spot other animals such as lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, cheetah among others. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening you may decide to explore the heart of Serengeti, Seronera valley. The area is known for its high concentration of big cats like lions, leopards, cheetahs among others. You will also see a whole range of wild animals roaming these grassy plains from the zebras to the naughty mongoose.

On the way into the crater, learn some facts about this incredible natural wonder.
The Ngorongoro crater has formed around 2.5 million years ago when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed itself. From the crater, return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight. This 13th day you will a full day game drive inside the Ngorongoro crater, enjoy picnic lunch and return at the lodge in the late afternoon on the rim of the crater for dinner.
Ngorongoro crater referred to as the 08th wonder of the world is best known for its extraordinary natural beauty and biodiversity. Although animals can move in and out of the crater, climbing the steep caldera walls requires some effort so as to see the wildlife inside.
The wildlife include; herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippos, giant African elephants and many others. The crater is endowed with a huge population of predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and leopards. Ngorongoro is also a home to about 500 species including the ostriches and flamingos.
The 14th day will be for a transfer back to Arusha. Enjoy your last African sunrise in this spectacular country before you return home. Depending on your departure flight, you may take a short walk on Ngorongoro crater rim before making your way back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
