The Park is located in Namibia’s highest rainfall area and during the rainy season, the park is over flooded by the heavy waters from the severe rain. However during dry season the two large islands Nkasa and Lupala can be accessed without difficulties. For the lovers of game drives, the fauna is very versatile; elephants, lions, crocodiles, several species of antelopes, buffaloes, hippos, are the major main occupants of the park.
Furthermore more than 400 bird species have been counted here and birders can enjoy the beautiful sceneries hence making birding one of the major activities done from this park. Camping is possible within the Park though there are no marked campsites and everything has to be taken along as there are no facilities, this can be arranged priory with Nature Adventure Africa Safaris Limited.
