Tassili N’Ajjer is considered to be an eroded sandstone rock formation found in the Sahara desert. The park is located in the vast plateau with the south eastern Algeria, west of Libya and north of Niger, this park covers almost a total land area of 72000km and it was established in 1982, the park has got various fascinating features mostly historical places including,
Ancient rock art, this is one of the most tourists’ attraction sites which have made the park to gain its fame ever since 1930. It’s believed that Over 15000 rock paintings were identified plus a great number of archaeological remains. The park is also said to have numerous stone tools and artefacts, ceramics, burial mounds and enclosures.
