Various travelers have experienced different destinations in East Africa; you too should borrow a leaf to discover magical places in East Africa at least once in a lifetime.

The safari adventure features the splendid Serengeti Plains, site of world’s last mass animal migration as hundreds of thousands animals, mostly wildebeest and zebra, move across the land in columns snaking to the far horizon.

Travel into the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation area and its impressive caldera and go on safari on the famed Masai Mara Game Reserve. Enjoy stays in tented camps on private conservancies.

In Rwanda following the footstep of Dian Fossey with a visit to Volcanoes National Park to meet last rare mountain gorillas and the golden monkeys and time to relax on white sand island beaches.

These primates are extremely rare, less than 800 living today. Therefore budget gorilla trekking gives you a chance to explore three countries as you go on safaris in Rwanda, Kenya as well as visiting Tanzania.

One can opt to start the trip from Rwanda then to Kenya and Finally Tanzania.

Arriving at the Kigali International Airport, you are met by a company representative; take a city tour visiting interesting places which may include Gisozi genocide memorial, craft market, and Kigali museum.

En-route lunch and transfer to your selected hotel in Ruhengeri with its stunning backdrop of five volcanic mountains and arriving for dinner and overnight.

Following the footsteps of Dian Fossey to volcanoes national park, perhaps this is one of the most breathtaking wildlife experiences on earth.

Trekking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga is really a magical experience.

After an early morning breakfast we proceed to Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi to meet your guides for briefing about the gorilla rules and the forest.

We embark on a once lifetime experience of  mountain gorilla trekking tours, as you get so close to those awesome creatures once spotted you are then allowed to spend an hour taking photos, videos as well as observing our closest relatives in their natural home.

Golden Monkey tracking in Volcanoes National Park is also a great experience one can participate in.

Entering into the dense stands of bamboo, you will make your way deep into golden monkey territory; guides lead visitors to the habitat of habituated golden monkey groups.

Viewing them is also a maximum of one hour watching them up close in their natural habitat. In the evening you can visit the local community enjoying activities like basket waving, and performing traditional dances and songs.

After the Rwanda gorilla experience, we then cross into Nairobi Kenya for the safari part of our trip.

A combination of three countries is easy and offers the opportunity to see a wide diversity of African wildlife. Masai Mara is one of the East Africa’s most famous reserves.

The reserve consists of hills and great rolling grasslands that sustain some of the most varied wildlife in Africa.

Afternoon game drive viewing lions, elephants, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, and other plains game around not forgetting species of birds.

Two days are dedicated to game spotting in this reserve. There are various animals to spot on this wonderful adventure like lions, cheetah or leopard hunting them.

You can also visit the Masai village or go for a hot air balloon ride that starts at 06:00am and ends with a breakfast on the plains. This is a fascinating experience you to try out.

We drive to one of Africa’s most popular parks, Serengeti National Park in the north east Tanzania.

It is a park you cannot miss on safari in Tanzania as it is one of the best places to see all the “big five” in a very short space of time. A safari in the Serengeti is a bucket list aspiration for many travelers.

Don’t miss to Explore Southern Tanzania’s remarkable wildlife places by vehicle, on foot and by boat.

Discover the ecosystems and animals of Tanzania’s largest park, Ruaha National Park. Walking safaris in Katavi National Park are simply outstanding with the highest concentrations of hippo and crocodiles in Tanzania.

Discover Selous Game Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stay at classic safari lodges and camps that recall the wonder of an earlier time.

Embark to Lake Manyara National Park where you will spend time some time exploring this small park on a game drive.

This protected area encloses a large part of Lake Manyara which home to flamingos and other water birds.

Acacia woodland shelters the park’s famous tree- climbing lions, lying languidly among the branches in the heat of the day.

During the game drive, you spot elephants, giraffes, hippos, wildebeests, impala and teeming groups of monkeys and baboons in the forest near the lake. Manyara is the perfect location for an active safari for canoeing on the lake.

Drive towards the southern Serengeti National Park the largest in Tanzania and explore the diversity of habitats and landscapes, short grass plants, Savannah, thick bush, swamps and lakes.

This park is also known for the yearly migration when hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras to find fresh water and grass.

In the late afternoon you will reach your private camp at a remote campsite in Serengeti National Park. Listen to the sounds of the wilderness while you site around the camp fire and enjoy the African bush.

Drive via the cooler highlands towards the southern Serengeti and you will reach around midday at the plains of the Serengeti National Park.

Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater a huge volcano crater which is largest, unbroken and un-flooded caldera in the world and it has a diversity of wildlife including the zebras and wildebeests and you might also spot the rare black Rhino and other members of the big five including the lions, elephants, buffalo and the leopard.

The crater is home to animals such as hyenas, water bucks, bush bucks, eland and more than 500 bird species.

It also a home to 40,000 Maasai farmers whose cattle graze the land in this area, after an exclusive game drive and lunch, you drive back to Arusha where you will arrive in late evening. We finally finish the trip.

But many travelers choose to finish their Tanzania safari with a short beach break at Zanzibar Islands before returning home.

The Indian ocean of Zanzibar Island is an ideal place for holiday to honey moon travelers and after your adventurous safari in Africa.

In order to experience this lifetime safari, I recommend traveling with a private and reliable African tour company offering knowledgeable safari guide and suitable safari vehicle.

Traveling this way lets you go in detail of your safari in time as the guide explain about the wildlife, primates, birds, culture among others and these local guides are very knowledgeable and experienced about tourism in Africa.
